Sing with us!

Whether you are new to singing or an experienced musician, you would be very welcome to get in touch.

Choristers

We regularly welcome boys and girls choirs aged 7+ to join as choristers, where they receive musical training and take part in services, concerts, yearly choir weeks at national cathedrals and occasional international tours.

No prior experience is required – just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

The boys’ choir rehearse on Wednesday (with a club after) and Friday evenings. The girls’ choir rehearse on Fridays at 4.45pm. Each choir leads one of the Sunday services and sings at other important occasions.

We are welcoming and the choristers have a lot of fun, forming lifelong friendships as they learn musical skills. Many choristers have gone on to careers in music.

We frequently sing at cathedrals both nationally and internationally, with recent and forthcoming visits including Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s, Exeter, Gloucester, Salisbury and a trip singing in Rome in 2024.

Being a chorister is free.

Benefits of being a chorister include:

♫ Learning to sing and read music with professional guidance
♫ Royal School of Church Music accredited awards
♫ Working alongside adults as equals
♫ Recordings and broadcasts on TV and radio

Adult Choristers

We welcome adult singers to the musical life of the parish. There are opportunities for experienced adult singers to take part in our choirs.
