Sing with us!

We are presently (January 2015) looking for 3 new boy choristers to join our acclaimed choir of 20 boys.

The choir provides a wonderful musical and educational opportunity to sing locally, nationally and internationally.

The boys practice on Wednesdays (with a club after) and Fridays and sing at a service most Sundays.

We are also seeking adult choirmen to sing alto, tenor and particularly at this time bass.

The choir sing a wide range of traditional and modern settings at Mass and Evensong nearly every Sunday.

The men rehearse on Friday evenings (usually followed by a few drinks at the King’s Head) and sing at one, sometimes two services on a Sunday

For further information, please

  • Watch the YouTube video we have made below.
  • See our joining page, here
  • Come to a service and hear the choir sing, then introduce yourself.
  • See Music this Term for details of what we are singing when.
  • Contact Mike Emerson, our Musical Director, on 020 8529 6092, or email him at mike@parishofchingford.org.uk.

A Warm Welcome to our Parish

Welcome to the Parish of Chingford.  We are made up of two  churches, Ss Peter & Paul (the Parish Church) and All Saints  (affectionately known as the Old Church).

We are a friendly, active, and inclusive parish rooted in the  Catholic tradition of the Church of England.  The Parish has a full  complement of services, with Mass and Morning and Evening Prayer said daily.

We are a parish community in Chingford and our mission is to share the experience of the love of God in Jesus Christ with all people through worship, education and service.

We hope you find our web site useful and look forward to welcoming you to one of our churches.

25th January 2015

Dear Congregation Member,

The PCC is about to update the Parish Profile prior to advertising for a new Rector and will welcome the views of the congregation regarding the current state of the parish, and the characteristics they would like to see in a new incumbent.

Please complete the questionnaire (PDF) and place it in the box near the door in church by the 8th February at the latest. It is your opportunity to influence the future of our Parish.

Thank you.

1st January 2015

The PCC was deeply shocked and saddened by the unexpected resignation of Fr. John.  We wish to express our thanks to Fr. John for his ministry here in Chingford, especially his exceptional liturgical knowledge and his superb pastoral work, and we wish him, Claudio and his family every blessing for the future.  There will be an opportunity to thank Fr. John personally at an event in January.

The Clergy, Churchwardens and PCC wish to reaffirm our commitment to our policy of welcome to all, regardless of gender, race, sexuality or disability.

Fr. John is being licensed as Priest-in-charge of St Augustine's Rumney in the Diocese of Monmouth on Saturday 28th February at 12noon.
