Welcome to the Parish of Chingford. We are made up of two churches, Ss Peter & Paul (the Parish Church) and All Saints (affectionately known as the Old Church).
We are a friendly, active, and inclusive parish rooted in the Catholic tradition of the Church of England. The Parish has a full complement of services, with Mass and Morning and Evening Prayer said daily.
We are a parish community in Chingford and our mission is to share the experience of the love of God in Jesus Christ with all people through worship, education and service.
We hope you find our web site useful and look forward to welcoming you to one of our churches.
Monday 6th July 2015: Fr. Andy Trenier installed as Rector of Chingford
On Monday 6th July the Bishop of Chelmsford, the Rt. Rev. Stephen Cottrell installed Fr. Andy Trenier as the new Rector at Ss. Peter and Paul. An uplifting service with a wonderful sermon by the Bishop was followed by good fellowship, nibbles and drinks in the hall.
Andy has come from Derby cathedral full of verve and energy to lead us all in a new chapter of our lives. Andy comes to Chingford with his wife Emma and their two sons Hugo and Louis, with a 3rd due in September.
You are very welcome to come along to our Sunday services - 8am said Mass, 10am sung Mass with our great choirs and 6.30pm for Choral Evensong (a very rare treat these days!).
We would like to wish Andy, Emma and their children a very happy, joyous and successful time with us all here.
Please see here for some words from Fr. Andy himself.
April 2015 – Significant milestone reached
After what seems to have been a really long climb, the Hall on the Green project has now reached a significant milestone. At last we have in place sufficient data and planning to produce an up to date budget for the project that is as accurate as can be obtained at this stage, enabling the application process to begin for major grants towards the building cost. We are sure this will help increase local enthusiasm for the project, and spur us all on in the next round of local fundraising ventures, as well as raising sufficient funds to maintain our church buildings and meet the costs of running the parish!
