We are really proud of the extraordinary music tradition in Chingford Parish. And we want it to continue to flourish well into the future. As part of our investment in this vision we need £5,500 per annum to fund an Organ Scholar for the parish to support the Director of Music and our several choirs.

Here is information about Luke Jones, our Scholar for 2025/26. As a friend of Chingford Parish Music could you support this and future appointments with a recurring annual donation? As little as £50 will help or you could pledge £500 or more annually and become a Patron.
Luke Jones: Our Organ Scholar for 2025/26

Luke Jones is 21 years old. He is the sole Organ student at the Trinity College Conservatoire in Greenwich. He was born and raised nearby in Enfield and his father is currently the permanent Catholic Deacon at Our Lady of Mount Carmel And St
George where Luke was first introduced to the organ.
Luke started his musical journey in primary school on the violin and moved on to the piano since joining Junior Trinity
at age 16. He started learning the organ four years ago, first as a second study organist and eventually switching to first study.
He has been studying under Jonathan Eyre and
has been playing regularly at the Old Royal Naval College Chapel in Greenwich. This year, he has been gaining experience as a freelancer playing at various churches across the UK.
Luke is a keen improviser and accompanist and enjoys working with other musicians, recently starting a small consort of singers. He is currently in his third year at Trinity Laban and is hoping to take his ARCO exam at the end of next academic year. Outside of music, Luke enjoys programming, electronics and all things computer-related.
