BAPTISMS
Baptism marks the beginning of a journey with God which continues for the rest of our lives, the first step in response to God’s love. For all involved, particularly the candidates but also parents, godparents and sponsors, it is a joyful moment when we rejoice in what God has done for us in Christ, making serious promises and declaring the faith.
For more information, please contact Mthr Marilyn Clayden, our baptism co-ordinator.
WEDDINGS
In the marriage ceremony a couple make a public declaration of lifelong commitment to love and support each other, come what may. It is also a gift from God, so if you choose to get married in one of the beautiful churches of Chingford Parish, there is an added dimension to the public change of your relationship with your spouse — the assurance that God cares about your relationship and that His strength and blessing are available to help you.
For more information, please contact our wedding co-ordinator, Mrs Mary Robinson
FUNERALS
We’ll always be here to help you through one of life’s most difficult times. A Church of England funeral in either of the churches is available to everyone, giving support before, during and after the service, for as long as it’s needed. Our ministers are experienced at making the service as personal and comforting as you and your loved ones need. Ask the funeral director to contact us, or you can be in touch at any time with the Rector to ask any questions you might have.
SPECIAL SERVICES
The two churches have been places of commemoration and celebration for hundreds of years and at the centre of parish life. From large concerts, to intimate receptions, school services, anniversaries, parades, performances, civic and cultural celebrations. Our experience and imagination are large and your enquiries are welcome.
