THURSDAY 7.30PM, Ss Peter & Paul, Chingford

Join in the Waltham Forest Citizens’ conversation about Housing, Hate Crime, and Knife Crime as we prepare for action in 2018.

Meet DIVERSE PEOPE.  Hear POWERFUL STORIES about how these issues affect our neighbours.  ACT TOGETHER for the common good.

Waltham Forest Citizens is an alliance of 12 diverse communities including churches, schools, and mosques.

Our aim is to build up our institutions and to work together for the common good in our borough.

Christians across East London have found community organising helped their churches to be more faithful and effective.

We believe, with them, that the practices of organising express some of the central commitments of our faith:

– that relationship is at the heart of God
– that power is good and God-given, even though it can be abused and distorted
– that in Christ, God engages with the world as it is, not just as it should be
– that faithful engagement with the world inevitably involves tension and struggle.
