Music in Church
As a result of recent government guidance, we are pleased that we are now gradually able to begin a phased resumption of choral services and other music in the Parish Church, beginning with the Eucharist on Sunday, 6 September. Choral Evensong will resume from the Sunday after that, Sunday, 13 September. Unfortunately as yet, the congregation are still not allowed to sing anything in church, but we await new guidance soon. We are not in a position to publish music lists yet, and everything will be subject to constant review for some time as we ensure we are operating in a COVID-secure manner. We will update music information regularly on the parish website, weekly sheet and music notice board.

It is intended that the postponed summer Wednesday Lunchtime Organ Concerts will now take place during October & November. Details to follow as soon as available.

The Grand Christmas Concert is highly unlikely to be able to take place in its usual form this year, so tickets will not go on sale as usual, on 1 September. A decision will be made at the end of September according to the likely coronavirus conditions at the time and an alternative plan announced as appropriate.

Please continue to support our music – at this time we are particularly looking for boys aged 7 – 10 years who may like to come and try out becoming a chorister. For details, please email
